Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to support the structural design and engineering of facade systems and building envelope components. The role involves structural analysis, preparation of engineering calculations, design of support structures and anchors, coordination with architects and structural consultants, and ensuring compliance with relevant Indian and international codes.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, proficiency in structural engineering software, and a keen interest in building envelope engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis of facade systems, including:
- Curtain wall systems
- Unitized glazing
- Stick glazing
- Aluminium windows
- Skylights
- Glass canopies
- Metal cladding
- Stone cladding support systems
- Terracotta and porcelain cladding
- GFRC/UHPC support systems
- Aluminium fins and architectural features
- Design:
- Aluminium members
- Steel support brackets
- Secondary steel framing
- Anchor bolts
- Embedded plates / Anchor channels
- Welded and bolted connections
- Carry out engineering calculations for:
- Wind load
- Dead load
- Live load
- Seismic load
- Thermal movement
- Serviceability criteria
- Deflection limits
- Prepare structural calculation reports for submission to clients.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for coordination.
- Coordinate with:
- Architects
- Structural consultants
- Facade contractors
- Aluminium system suppliers
- Glass processors
- Review contractor shop drawings and engineering submissions.
- Provide value engineering proposals without compromising safety or performance.
- Attend technical meetings and site inspections.
- Resolve structural and installation-related issues during construction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards including:
- IS Codes
- NBCS
- Eurocodes (where applicable)
- AISC
- ASCE 7
- ASTM
- BS Standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
Proficiency in the following:
- STAAD Pro
- AutoCAD
- SJ Mepla
- Revit (preferred)
- MS Office
- Flixo (preferred)
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
