PGT Geography – Job Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced PGT Geography Teacher to teach Classes XI–XII. The candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication and classroom management skills, and the ability to make Geography engaging through maps, case studies, current affairs, and real-life examples.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach and mentor students of Classes XI–XII.
- Prepare students effectively for board examinations and assessments.
- Use maps, atlases, GIS/digital tools, case studies, and field-based examples to enhance learning.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, assignments, worksheets, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and student progress reports.
- Develop students’ analytical, critical-thinking, and geographical skills.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions based on students’ learning needs.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, staff meetings, and academic activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum planning and interdisciplinary learning.
- Stay updated with developments in Geography, teaching methodologies, and educational technology.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Geography from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification from a recognized institution.
- Strong command of English communication.
- Good knowledge of the CBSE senior secondary Geography curriculum.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and educational technology.
A postgraduate degree in the concerned subject along with B.Ed. is also reflected in current PGT eligibility requirements.

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
