We are looking for a Material Management Executive with experience in material management as well as machine maintenance to manage material planning, procurement coordination, inventory, stores activities, system transactions, and basic machine maintenance activities for our mechanical manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate should have minimum 1 year of relevant experience in material management/stores/procurement and hands-on experience in machine maintenance. The candidate should also have working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day material requirements for production and operations.
- Coordinate material planning, procurement, receiving, and issue of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Prepare and maintain Material Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, Material Issue/Transfer, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments.
- Update material transactions and inventory records in SAP/ERP systems.
- Support machine maintenance activities, including preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues in machines and production equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, technicians, and external service providers for machine repairs and servicing.
- Maintain records of machine maintenance, breakdowns, spare parts, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure availability and proper control of machine spare parts, maintenance consumables, and other required materials.
- Assist in maintaining machines and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure proper housekeeping in the maintenance and stores areas.
Required Skills
- Mandatory: Hands-on machine maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP / ERP systems – Preferred.
- Good understanding of Material Management (MM) processes.
- Knowledge of inventory management, stores, material planning, and procurement.
- Basic knowledge of SAP MM module will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of machine preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of mechanical machines and manufacturing equipment.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and system-based material tracking.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage materials as well as support maintenance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
Eligibility
- ITI / Diploma / Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Material Management, Stores, Inventory, Procurement, Machine Maintenance, or a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates must have practical/hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
- Experience in a mechanical manufacturing or industrial environment will be preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
