About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in water and wastewater treatment projects. The candidate will be responsible for electrical system design, control philosophy development, commissioning support, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and Instrument Schedules.
- Develop control philosophies and electrical design documentation.
- Perform power and control cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, load balancing, and cable tray layouts.
- Prepare material submittals and provide guidance for shop drawings.
- Develop method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning procedures.
- Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Plan and design low-voltage and medium-voltage systems including MCCs, transformers, and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
- Incorporate energy-efficient solutions such as VFDs and Soft Starters into electrical designs.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical design for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Experience with MCCs, transformers, motor control systems, and electrical distribution systems.
- Expertise in cable sizing, load calculations, and control systems.
- Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Familiarity with safety standards and electrical regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment Industry.
- Experience in STP, ETP, WTP, RO, or related industrial projects preferred.
