About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and sharp Esports and Gaming Writer to join our growing content team. You will cover the fast-moving world of competitive gaming, game releases, industry news, player profiles and gaming culture for a digitally savvy audience that lives and breathes this space.
If you know your APM from your KDA, follow Esports tournaments the way others follow football leagues and can turn a patch update into a compelling read, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Do
- Write engaging, SEO-optimised articles covering Esports tournaments, game launches, patch updates, player news and gaming trends
- Produce listicles, how-to guides, tier lists, codes articles and evergreen gaming content that ranks and retains readers
- Follow live tournaments and events across titles such as Valorant, League of Legends, BGMI, Free Fire, CS2, Dota 2, FIFA and more
- Interview players, coaches and industry figures for exclusive features and profiles
- Monitor gaming communities on Reddit, Discord, X and YouTube to identify trending stories early
- Collaborate with editors and SEO teams to hit traffic targets and content calendars
- Repurpose written content into social media snippets, reel scripts and newsletter blurbs when required
What We Are Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of experience writing about gaming, Esports or tech for a digital publication
- Strong understanding of competitive gaming titles and the global Esports ecosystem
- Ability to write clearly and quickly without sacrificing quality, especially during live events
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress
- A genuine passion for gaming, not just a passing interest
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced editorial environment.
