Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies or site-related issues.
- Monitor progress of civil, structural, finishing, MEP, and other project activities as applicable.
- Ensure availability of materials, manpower, tools, and equipment required for project execution.
- Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase teams for timely material requirements.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed as per agreed timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with approved construction methods.
- Check the quality of materials and workmanship and coordinate with the QA/QC team.
- Measure completed work and verify contractor bills and quantities where required.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Track project schedules, identify delays, and take corrective actions in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Maintain proper records of site activities, measurements, inspections, drawings, and approvals.
- Coordinate with MEP, planning, safety, and other project teams to avoid execution delays.
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules and company procedures.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues at the site.
- Monitor wastage of construction materials and take measures to minimize losses.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, issues, and requirements.
- Support project handover, snag rectification, and completion activities.
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in real estate / residential / commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and site execution.
- Experience in handling contractors and subcontractors.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and construction/project management software.
- AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
