Job Summary
Britcare Academy is looking for an experienced and passionate Ophthalmic Assistant Trainer to deliver high-quality classroom and practical training to students pursuing Ophthalmic Assistant certification. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to preparing students for successful careers in eye care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theory and practical sessions in Ophthalmic Assistant training.
- Demonstrate ophthalmic procedures, instruments, and patient care techniques.
- Conduct practical demonstrations, assessments, and examinations.
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, and student assignments.
- Monitor student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Guide students during internships and clinical postings.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with academic standards.
- Stay updated with current ophthalmic practices and industry developments.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Optometry or Ophthalmic Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an eye hospital or ophthalmology department.
- Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English; Malayalam proficiency is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
- Strong classroom management and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for students.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office/Google Workspace).
Salary
₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on qualifications and experience).
