Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage the upkeep of our plant machinery and utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing preventive maintenance schedules, minimizing machine downtime, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical breakdowns of rubber processing machinery (such as Kneaders, Mixing Mills, Extruders, Hydraulic Presses, and Boilers).
Key Responsibilities1. Plant & Machinery Upkeep
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and breakdown maintenance of heavy-duty rubber processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain key machinery including Banbury mixers/kneaders, twin-screw extruders, rubber mixing mills, hydraulic curing presses, and calender machines.
- Oversee utility maintenance, including steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, and water pumps.
2. Electrical & Instrumentation Systems
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in PLC panels, VFDs, motors, sensors, and control circuits.
- Ensure smooth operation of pneumatic and hydraulic automation systems across the production floor.
3. Inventory & Spare Parts Management
- Maintain optimum inventory levels of critical engineering spares, tools, and consumables to minimize MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
- Coordinate with vendors and local suppliers in the Ankleshwar/Bharuch region for specialized fabrication or spare parts sourcing.
4. Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with factory safety standards and statutory regulations (e.g., Boiler Act compliance, GPCB norms).
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, root cause analysis (RCA) records, and downtime reports.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in Rubber, Plastics, Tyre Retreading, or Chemical processing plants.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Familiarity with steam line piping and boiler operations.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, quick decision-making under downtime pressure, and ability to manage a team of technicians/fitters.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹46,093.05 per month
