Electrical System Design (HT & LT)
Ø Develop electrical systems up to 33 kV, including power distribution and control systems.
Ø Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematics.
Ø Ensure system design meets project load requirements, safety standards, and operational reliability.
Equipment Selection & Sizing
Ø Select and size electrical equipment based on system requirements, including:
o Transformers (HT/LT)
o Switchgear (HT & LT panels)
o Motors (HT & LT)
o Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
o DG set
Ø Ensure compatibility, efficiency, and compliance with specifications.
Protection System & Relay Coordination
Ø Review and validate protection schemes for HT and LT systems.
Ø Ensure relay settings coordination to achieve proper hierarchical tripping.
Ø Analyze fault levels and protection requirements for system safety.
Cable Engineering
Selection and sizing of:
HT, LT, control, and signal cables
Design and review:
Cable routing, trench design, and cable tray systems
Cable laying methods (underground, trays, ducts, etc.)
Ensure proper derating, voltage drop and short-circuit withstand capacity.
Electrical Layout & Infrastructure
Shall plan and review layouts for:
Cable trenches and cable trays

Lighting Systems
Design and selection of:
Indoor and outdoor lighting systems
Street lighting systems
Ensure illumination levels as per standards and energy efficiency.
Power Supply & Backup Systems
Selection and design of:
Battery systems and battery chargers
Selection of UPS for essential loads, emergency lights and computers.
Drawing & Document Review
Review electrical control drawings, panel schematics, and vendor submissions.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards and the TNCEIG guidelines.
Identify discrepancies and coordinate with design and execution teams.
Vendor & Technical Coordination
Coordinate with vendors for technical discussions and approvals.
Review vendor datasheets, GA drawings, and test reports.
Support procurement and inspection activities.
Software & Drafting
Prepare and review drawings using AutoCAD.
Maintain proper documentation and version control of engineering drawings and reports.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Perform load calculations, fault analysis, and system studies.
Analyse system performance and suggest improvements or optimizations.
Evaluate system performance and suggest improvements.
Communication
Prepare technical reports, calculation notes, and documentation.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Present technical information clearly during meetings and reviews.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
