Makins Supermart is a growing retail supermarket committed to providing customers with a wide range of quality products, excellent service, and a pleasant shopping experience. We are looking for an energetic and experienced Store Manager to lead our store operations and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Oversee day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth functioning of all departments.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, merchandising, and customer service.
- Ensure proper opening and closing of the store and adherence to company policies.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Plan and execute promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
Inventory Management
- Manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Monitor inventory movement and minimize wastage, pilferage, and stock discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement and deliveries.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate store staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower availability.
- Conduct performance evaluations and maintain team discipline.
Customer Service
- Ensure exceptional customer experience at all times.
- Resolve customer complaints and queries promptly and professionally.
- Build long-term customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Monitor cash handling, billing, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Maintain store records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (Retail Management preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail store management, supermarket, grocery, or FMCG retail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory management and retail operations.
- Proficiency in billing software, POS systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in supermarket or modern retail operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
