We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as Deputy Medical Superintendent . The successful candidate will support the Medical Superintendent in overseeing hospital operations while leading quality improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, patient safety programs, and regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesHospital Administration
- Assist the Medical Superintendent in managing day-to-day hospital operations.
- Coordinate with clinical, nursing, and support departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitor hospital performance and recommend operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Address patient complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor the hospital's Quality Management System.
- Lead accreditation and certification activities (JCI, NABH, CBAHI, or other applicable standards).
- Monitor quality indicators, patient safety goals, and clinical outcomes.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external quality assessments.
- Facilitate quality improvement projects across departments.
- Analyze incidents, adverse events, and patient feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control, risk management, and patient safety standards.
- Prepare quality reports and present findings to hospital leadership.
Qualifications
- BDS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Master's Degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification or training in Healthcare Quality Management is an advantage.
- Valid professional license/registration.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in hospital administration and/or healthcare quality management.
- Experience with healthcare accreditation programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, patient safety, and quality standards.
