Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems, equipment, machinery, utilities, and automation systems in the forging plant. The role includes preventive maintenance, breakdown analysis, energy management, electrical safety compliance, and continuous improvement of plant reliability and productivity.
Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns of forging presses, hammers, furnaces, compressors, cranes, and utility equipment.
- Maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, APFC panels, MCCs, and power distribution systems.
- Ensure availability of critical electrical spares.
2. Equipment Reliability
- Monitor machine health and identify potential failures.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.
- Improve equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
3. Utilities Management
- Maintain compressors, cooling systems, lighting systems, and DG sets.
- Monitor power consumption and optimize energy utilization.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply for production operations.
4. Automation & Control Systems
- Maintain PLCs, VFDs, HMI systems, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Support troubleshooting of automated forging and heat-treatment equipment.
- Coordinate with OEMs for technical support.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Conduct electrical safety audits and risk assessments.
- Implement Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical protection systems.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance records and equipment history cards.
- Prepare daily breakdown reports and monthly maintenance MIS.
- Update electrical drawings and preventive maintenance schedules.
7. Team Management
- Supervise electricians and maintenance technicians.
- Allocate work and monitor task completion.
- Conduct technical training for maintenance staff.

Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Electrical Supervisor License preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years in electrical maintenance of forging, automotive, steel, foundry, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience with forging presses, induction furnac
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
