About the Role
Lighthouse Communities Foundation is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Centre Head to lead the end-to-end implementation of the Lighthouse Program at the center level. This role is responsible for driving youth engagement, managing center operations, leading a high-performing team, and building strong relationships with communities, employers, and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is committed to youth development, experienced in program management, and capable of delivering measurable social impact by enabling underserved youth to access sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Impact
- Lead and manage the Lighthouse Center independently, ensuring effective program delivery.
- Drive youth enrollment, engagement, retention, and successful program completion.
- Support at least 20% of participating youth in securing employment or self-employment opportunities.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Implement programs that strengthen youth agency, confidence, and decision-making skills.
- Ensure seamless participant progression from outreach and enrollment through placement and alumni engagement.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5–8 staff members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Monitor team performance and ensure timely achievement of program goals.
- Support staff development and minimize attrition through effective people management.
Community Outreach & Mobilization
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and community leaders.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to drive youth enrollment and participation.
- Enhance program visibility and community engagement through local partnerships and events.
Placement & Livelihood Development
- Identify local employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth.
- Collaborate with Placement Managers and industry partners to facilitate job placements.
- Organize industry interactions, expert sessions, and exposure visits.
- Guide youth toward sustainable livelihood outcomes and career pathways.
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily center operations, infrastructure, and asset management.
- Ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of all center activities.
- Maintain compliance with organizational processes and quality standards.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate program data using Excel and internal digital platforms.
- Analyze performance metrics and generate insights to improve outcomes.
- Prepare timely qualitative and quantitative reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive adoption and effective use of digital tools such as the Youth Connect Portal.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with government officials, local authorities, NGOs, corporates, and educational institutions.
- Facilitate partnerships for volunteering, placements, and community initiatives.
- Coordinate donor visits, stakeholder meetings, and center-level events.
- Support local brand-building and awareness initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program implementation, preferably in skilling, livelihoods, education, or youth development.
- Experience managing teams and operating training or skilling centers.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent program and project management skills.
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical capabilities.
- Effective communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
- Experience engaging with government, corporate, and community stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
