Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control across all hospital areas. The role includes supervising staff, monitoring performance, and maintaining compliance with hospital protocols.
Key Responsibilities:Supervision & Team Management:
- Supervise housekeeping staff and allocate daily duties
- Prepare duty rosters and shift schedules
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Monitor staff performance and discipline
- Ensure proper grooming and uniform compliance
Cleaning & Hygiene Management:
- Ensure cleanliness of wards, ICUs, OPD, OTs, corridors, and public areas
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleanliness standards
- Ensure proper cleaning methods and use of disinfectants
- Maintain high standards as per hospital infection control guidelines
Infection Control & Safety:
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Monitor biomedical waste segregation and disposal
- Ensure proper use of PPE by housekeeping staff
- Coordinate with infection control team for audits and improvements
Inventory & Supplies Management:
- Maintain stock of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment
- Raise indents for required supplies
- Ensure proper usage and avoid wastage
Coordination & Support:
- Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, and other departments
- Attend to complaints regarding cleanliness and resolve promptly
- Ensure rooms are ready for admissions and discharges
Equipment Management:
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment
- Report breakdowns and arrange repairs
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and reports
- Submit daily/weekly reports to management
- Record attendance and leave of housekeeping staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
- Diploma in Housekeeping / Hotel Management preferred
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping
- Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory role (hospital preferred)

Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (including weekends and holidays)
- Requires walking and supervision across hospital premises
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
