Senior Email Marketing Manager (E-commerce) – 8+ Years Experience About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced, data-driven, and strategic Senior Email Marketing Manager with 8+ years of experience in eCommerce email marketing, customer lifecycle management, marketing automation, and retention marketing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing email marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, increase customer lifetime value, improve retention, and deliver strong ROI for eCommerce brands. This role requires someone who can independently build and execute sophisticated customer segmentation strategies, automation workflows, lifecycle marketing campaigns, and monthly marketing calendars while continuously optimizing performance based on data and customer behavior. The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with at least one leading email marketing platform such as Klaviyo, Omnisend, or Brevo, and possess a deep understanding of customer journeys, conversion optimization, and eCommerce growth marketing. --- Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Growth - Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies for multiple eCommerce brands and client accounts. - Create revenue-focused lifecycle marketing programs that support customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and repeat purchases. - Build and implement long-term retention strategies designed to increase Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). - Identify growth opportunities through customer data analysis, segmentation, and behavioral insights. - Own email marketing performance and contribute directly to business growth and profitability. Audience Segmentation & Personalization - Design and manage advanced customer segmentation strategies based on: - Purchase behavior - Customer lifecycle stage - Product interests - Engagement history - Geographic location - Average order value - Customer loyalty and retention metrics - Create targeted campaigns and personalized customer journeys for different audience segments. - Continuously optimize segmentation strategies to improve conversion rates and engagement. Marketing Automation & Customer Journeys - Build, manage, and optimize automated email flows and customer journeys, including: - Welcome Series - Abandoned Cart Recovery - Browse Abandonment - Post-Purchase Nurture - Cross-Sell & Upsell Campaigns - Win-Back Campaigns - Replenishment Campaigns - Loyalty & VIP Programs - Customer Reactivation Campaigns - Develop scalable automation frameworks that increase revenue while reducing manual effort. Campaign Management & Execution - Create and manage monthly and quarterly email marketing calendars aligned with business goals, seasonal promotions, product launches, and customer lifecycle initiatives. - Plan and execute promotional campaigns, newsletters, product announcements, and retention programs. - Collaborate with design, content, and eCommerce teams to ensure high-performing email campaigns. - Ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule with exceptional attention to detail. Analytics, Reporting & Optimization - Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. - Conduct ongoing A/B testing across: - Subject Lines - Email Content - Call-to-Actions - Send Times - Customer Segments - Promotional Offers - Monitor key performance indicators and implement optimization strategies to maximize ROI. - Prepare monthly performance reports with strategic insights and recommendations. Deliverability & Compliance - Manage email deliverability, sender reputation, and inbox placement. - Maintain email list hygiene and database quality. - Ensure compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and email marketing best practices. --- Required Qualifications Experience - 8+ years of proven experience in Email Marketing, CRM Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Retention Marketing, or Marketing Automation. - Extensive experience managing email marketing for eCommerce businesses. - Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through email marketing strategies. - Experience managing multiple brands or client accounts is highly preferred.
