Design Engineer (AutoCAD & SolidWorks)
Job Summary
The Design Engineer oversees the development, coordination, and execution of engineering design projects using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This role ensures that all designs meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The Design Manager leads a team of designers/engineers, collaborates closely with cross-functional departments, and drives continuous improvement in design processes and documentation.
Key Responsibilities Design & Technical Leadership
- Developing 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Solve complex design challenges and provide technical support to the team.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate documentation of design files, revisions, technical reports, and specifications.
- Work with manufacturing and quality teams to support prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field (preferred).
Experience
- 2 - 4 years of experience in engineering design
- Strong hands-on expertise in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, simulation preferred).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CAD , technical drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, sheet metal, etc)
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
