We are looking for an experienced MDS Prosthodontist to join our dental clinic on a full-time basis. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive prosthodontic and general dental treatments, independently managing patients, preparing treatment plans, and ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Prosthodontic Responsibilities
- Diagnose and independently manage prosthodontic cases from treatment planning through completion.
- Perform fixed and removable prosthodontic procedures, including crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and implant-supported prostheses.
- Handle aesthetic and functional rehabilitation cases, including full-mouth rehabilitation.
- Evaluate occlusion, aesthetics, function, and oral health while planning treatment.
- Perform and manage digital impressions, intraoral scanning, and digital treatment planning where applicable.
- Coordinate with dental laboratories and other specialists for multidisciplinary and complex cases.
- Assess laboratory work for marginal fit, occlusion, contacts, shade, aesthetics, and overall quality.
- Provide appropriate post-treatment care and follow-up.
2. General Dentistry Responsibilities
The candidate will also be expected to independently handle routine general dentistry procedures, including:
- Comprehensive dental examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Patient consultation and treatment counselling.
- Dental restorations/fillings.
- Scaling and polishing.
- Preventive and basic periodontal care.
- Simple extractions, wherever clinically appropriate.
- Temporary restorations and routine prosthetic procedures.
- Management of routine dental emergencies.
- Oral hygiene instructions and preventive dental counselling.
- Identification and appropriate referral of cases requiring other specialist intervention.
3. Patient Management
- Explain diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes to patients clearly.
- Provide patient-centric and ethical treatment recommendations.
- Obtain appropriate informed consent before commencing treatment.
- Maintain excellent patient communication and build long-term patient relationships.
- Address patient concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up throughout the treatment journey.
4. Clinical Documentation & Quality
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, treatment plans, prescriptions, clinical notes, and follow-up records.
- Follow all clinic protocols relating to infection control, sterilization, patient safety, and clinical quality.
- Maintain high standards of professional ethics and clinical practice.
- Ensure timely completion of treatment plans and proper patient follow-up.
5. Team Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with dental assistants, reception staff, dental laboratories, and other specialists.
- Discuss and coordinate complex cases with appropriate specialists whenever required.
- Support a collaborative and professional clinical environment.
- Participate in clinical discussions and treatment-planning meetings.
Eligibility & Experience
- MDS in Prosthodontics from a recognized dental institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate Dental Council.
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience after MDS preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in crowns, bridges, dentures, veneers, implant prosthetics, and restorative rehabilitation.
- Ability to independently manage prosthodontic cases as well as routine general dentistry procedures.
- Good communication, patient-management, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Willingness to work as a full-time Prosthodontist with responsibility for both specialist prosthodontic and general dentistry treatments.
