Amilma Ice Creams is looking for an experienced, hands-on and high-ownership Senior Manager – Manufacturing & Plant Operations to take responsibility for strengthening and developing our growing manufacturing facility.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who can go beyond routine production management. We are looking for a strong manufacturing professional capable of improving product quality and consistency, eliminating recurring operational issues, strengthening hygiene and process controls, optimizing manufacturing costs, increasing production capacity and building scalable systems.
The successful candidate should genuinely care about the facility, products, people and manufacturing outcomes and be capable of driving measurable improvements.
Scope of Work
The role will have broad responsibility for strengthening the overall manufacturing ecosystem, including:
- Manufacturing and plant operations
- Product quality and consistency
- Process control and standardization
- Production efficiency, yield and cost optimization
- Hygiene, GMP and food safety practices
- Root-cause analysis and elimination of recurring issues
- Capacity planning and operational scalability
- Production, Maintenance and Quality coordination
- Process development and new product commercialization
- Plant improvement, automation and technical development projects
This role is focused on building and improving a scalable manufacturing operation, not merely supervising day-to-day production.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall ownership of manufacturing and plant operations.
- Improve and maintain consistent product quality across production batches.
- Analyze recurring quality and customer complaints, identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Improve production yield, productivity and capacity while reducing wastage, rework and manufacturing costs.
- Establish strong manufacturing processes, SOPs and process-control systems.
- Strengthen GMP, hygiene, sanitation and food safety practices.
- Monitor key manufacturing KPIs including quality, yield, wastage, downtime, productivity and cost.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions for capacity improvement and scale-up.
- Coordinate and strengthen Production, Maintenance, Quality and other plant functions.
- Develop manufacturing teams, improve operational discipline and build accountability.
- Lead process development and support R&D trials and new product commercialization.
- Evaluate manufacturing feasibility and ensure successful scale-up of new products.
- Participate in plant expansion, automation, new equipment selection and technical development projects.
- Build systems and processes suitable for future growth and ERP integration.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:

Experience & Qualification
- 10–15 years of experience in Food, Dairy, Ice Cream, Frozen Dessert or FMCG Manufacturing.
- Experience in Ice Cream, Frozen Dessert or Dairy Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing manufacturing or plant operations at a senior level.
- Demonstrated ability to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency and production cost.
- Strong experience in GMP, HACCP and food safety systems.
- Experience in process improvement, yield optimization and wastage reduction.
- Exposure to R&D, process development and commercial-scale product launches will be an advantage.
- Qualification in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Science or a related discipline is preferred.
