About Aixperia
Aixperia is a design-to-production SaaS platform purpose-built for the interior design and fit-out industry. From concept to cabinet, Aixperia connects designers, manufacturers, and project teams on a single intelligent platform — enabling parametric product configuration, automated BOQ generation, production scheduling, and real-time delivery tracking. We are building the operating system for the built environment.
Role Overview
As the Database & Parametric Modelling Engineer at Aixperia, you will be the foundational layer of our platform's intelligence. You will design and maintain the product database architecture that drives parametric configurations — the engine that translates design intent into production-ready specifications, BOQs, and manufacturing outputs. This is a high-impact, deeply technical role that bridges data engineering, product logic, and manufacturing intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Parametric Modelling & Configuration Engine
› Design and maintain parametric product models for cabinets, modular systems, aluminium/glass profiles, and fit-out components
› Define configuration rules, constraints, and logic that govern valid product combinations and variations
› Build and manage formula-driven pricing, material computation, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) generation
› Translate manufacturer-specific production standards and tolerances into structured parametric rules
Production & Manufacturing Intelligence
› Map design outputs to manufacturing instructions — cut lists, edge-banding schedules, hardware BOMs, and assembly guides
› Collaborate with production teams of cabinetry manufacturers to validate real-world applicability of parametric models
› Develop structured data exports compatible with CNC machines, ERP systems, and production scheduling tools
Required Qualifications
› Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
› 3–4 years of experience in database engineering, parametric modelling, or product configuration systems
› Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and experience with NoSQL databases
› Experience building or working with parametric/configurator engines in manufacturing, furniture, or construction tech domains
› Solid understanding of data normalisation, schema design, and multi-tenant architecture
› Familiarity with BOQ generation, product configuration logic, and manufacturing data structures
› Experience with REST API design and integration
Preferred Skills & Experience
› Hands-on experience with cabinet/furniture configurator software (e.g. Cabinet Vision, KD Max, or similar)
› Knowledge of CNC machine output formats, cutting optimisation, and production data standards
› Exposure to ERP platforms in manufacturing or construction (e.g. SAP, Odoo, or custom MES)
› Experience with report template tools such as Stimulsoft, FastReport, or similar
› Familiarity with aluminium and glass systems, modular interior products, or high-end fit-out components is a strong advantage
› Experience working in SaaS or B2B platform environments
Platform Collaboration
› Work closely with the product, engineering, and design teams to integrate parametric outputs into the Aixperia platform UI
› Develop and maintain reporting templates (including MRT/Stimulsoft and similar tools) for BOQ, order confirmations, and production sheets
› Participate in defining data base of cabinets and hardware for each different manufacterers.
