Job Summary
The Radiology Scanning Typist is responsible for accurately typing and preparing radiology reports, including Ultrasound (USG), X-Ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging reports, as dictated by radiologists. The role requires proficiency in medical terminology, report formatting, and timely report generation while maintaining patient confidentiality and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Type and format radiology reports from radiologists' dictations and handwritten notes.
- Prepare and finalize reports for Ultrasound (USG), CT, MRI, X-Ray, Mammography, and other imaging procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of patient demographics, clinical details, and diagnostic findings in reports.
- Upload, print, scan, and distribute completed reports through the Hospital Information System (HIS), RIS, and PACS.
- Coordinate with radiologists for clarification and correction of reports when required.
- Maintain proper records and archives of radiology reports.
- Ensure timely completion and delivery of reports to support patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding confidentiality and data security.
- Assist with other administrative and clerical duties within the Radiology Department.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
- Certification/Diploma in Medical Transcription is mandatory.
- Certification/Training in Medical Scribing is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and radiology terminology.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information systems.
Skills Required
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Strong command of English grammar and medical documentation.
- Ability to understand and transcribe radiologists' dictations accurately.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology report typing, medical transcription, or medical scribing is preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may be considered.
Mandatory Requirement
- Experience and proficiency in USG (Ultrasound) report typing is mandatory.
- Candidates must be able to accurately type and format USG reports independently using appropriate medical terminology.
Pay: From ₹13,000.00 per month
