Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current systems and infrastructure to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and deliver high performance. The position requires coordinating with various stakeholders to align migration strategies with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress to achieve seamless integration with private and public cloud platforms. The engineer plays a key role in driving innovative cloud adoption that supports next-generation business capabilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and execution of migration plans to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team to enhance overall cloud migration capabilities.
- Monitor and report on migration progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure PaaS.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure design and deployment.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud migration issues.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for cloud resource management.
- Knowledge of data migration techniques and performance optimization in cloud environments.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure PaaS.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
