Job Summary
Dreamtech Press is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer who can develop high-quality visual content for books, educational materials, marketing collaterals and other publishing requirements. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of design principles and be comfortable working with publishing and graphic design software.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and format book interiors, covers, illustrations, diagrams, charts and other visual elements as per project requirements.
- Design page layouts and ensure consistency in typography, spacing, alignment and overall presentation.
- Prepare and edit graphics, images and other visual content for print and digital publications.
- Work closely with the editorial and content teams to understand design requirements and deliver work within deadlines.
- Make necessary corrections and modifications based on editorial and production feedback.
- Ensure that final artwork and files meet the required technical specifications for printing and digital publishing.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across different books and publishing projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.
- Working knowledge of MathType for formatting mathematical equations and academic content.
- Good English typing speed with accuracy.
- Knowledge of Hindi typing will be considered an added advantage.
- Good understanding of typography, page layout and print design.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with the editorial and production teams.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, Visual Communication or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience in book publishing, educational content or print production will be given preference.
Compensation
Salary: Negotiable, based on skills, experience and suitability for the role.
