This project brings together multiple leaders and individuals with long years of corporate leadership, demonstrated expertise in the set up and management of social sector enterprises, sustainable philanthropy, and a deep commitment to social inclusion and justice.
The initiative’s long-term vision is to create a pioneering integrated home-care service mechanism in the outskirts of Greater Bangalore Metropolitan Area that will serve as a replicable model for inpatient and home-based palliative and end-of-life care, as well as training, capacity-building and research - blending clinical excellence with genuine empathy and human connection.
Saranam has signed MoUs with Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology and the KC General Hospital, Malleshwaram to deliver integrated palliative care including OPD, Home-Care and In-Patient Care.
About the Role
Saranam is looking for a Staff Nurse with a background in critical/acute care, geriatric care, Oncology care or Palliative Care; empathetic, willing to learn and adapt, and with good interpersonal and communication skills that foster teamwork. The work involves regular home-care visits across Bangalore, direct interactions with the community as part of the Home-Care program as well as engaging directly with patients at the different centres/hospitals that we work in.
In addition to the regular work of communicating with patients via the home-care program, dispensing medicines, and handling drug stocks, the candidate will also be expected to be part of activities such as data collection, and supervision of field staff and work effectively with the existing health team to implement all aspects of the program. Additionally, the candidate will also work with the field team for better planning, implementation and ensure deliverables are achieved on time.
timings : 9am-5pm , No night shifts.
Education And Experience
BSc Nursing Preferred, or GNM. Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in nursing, preferably in critical care, acute care, geriatric care and/or palliative care.
Strong knowledge of Kannada is a mandatory requirement; knowledge of Tamil and Telugu is an asset.
The above position involves regular homecare visits with the rest of the program team, as well as being stationed within the Centre.
Currently, Saranam has requirements in Kidwai Hospital, and KC General, Malleswaram.
The right candidate will be motivated to travel frequently to meet the needs of the program and deliver impact effectively.

Salary Range: Between Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 per month, depending on experience.
