E-commerce Warehouse Manager for an apparel
Core Responsibilities
- Fulfillment & Dispatch: Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of direct-to-consumer (D2C) orders and marketplace dispatches, ensuring same-day or next-day turnaround times.
- Inventory Management: Track all apparel, accessories, and footwear. Perform cycle counts to maintain 99%+ stock accuracy, while preventing stock-outs and managing surplus inventory.
- Returns Processing: Manage the intricate "reverse logistics" pipeline by inspecting, grading, repackaging, and returning good-condition garments to sellable inventory.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and lead warehouse staff, scaling the workforce during seasonal sales peaks and festive collections.
- 3PL & Courier Management: Coordinate with logistics partners and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure cost-efficient, timely last-mile delivery and resolve transit issues.
- Facility & Safety: Ensure the warehouse is clean, well-organized, and safe for storing textiles. Ensure all operations comply with industry safety standards and labor laws. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Order Accuracy: Percentage of correct garments and sizes shipped to customers.
- Order Cycle Time: The elapsed time from an online order being placed to when it is dispatched.
- SLA Compliance: Adherence to shipping timelines across platforms (e.g., brand website, Amazon, Flipkart).
- Returns Processing Rate: Efficiency in getting returned apparel back into the available online inventory.
- Labor & Storage Costs: Cost-per-order fulfilled and optimal space utilization. [1]
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 7+ years of supply chain or warehousing experience, with significant exposure to apparel/fashion and e-commerce fulfillment.
- Tech Skills: Hands-on proficiency with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and automated handling equipment.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the fashion supply chain—specifically managing high SKU counts, size/color variants, and rapid seasonal trends.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
