1. Blown Film Extrusion Operator
Role Overview: Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining blown film extrusion lines to produce polyethylene (LLDPE, HDPE, LDPE) films according to quality, thickness, and width specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Setup: Set up extruder temperatures, die gap, air ring, blower speed, take-up unit, and winder based on job specifications.
- Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor melt temperature, pressure, bubble stability, gauge (thickness) uniformity, and corona treatment levels.
- Raw Material Handling: Load polymer granules (virgin resin, masterbatches, additives, and recycled regrind) into hoppers or suction systems.
- Quality & Output Tracking: Measure film width, thickness (micron/gauge), tensiles, and opacity; record roll weights and scrap rates.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and correct common defects such as gauge variation, bubble instability, gel spots, pinholes, wrinkles, and haze.
- Roll Changing & Packaging: Perform roll changes on winders, label finished rolls, and move them to storage or secondary processing (cutting/sealing).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience running single-layer or multi-layer (3-layer / 5-layer) blown film lines.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of PE resin behavior (LLDPE, HDPE, LDPE), temperature profiles, and screw/die mechanics.
- Skills: Ability to use micrometers/thickness gauges, manual dexterity, and physical ability to lift raw material bags and rolls.
