Role Overview
The Tally Operator cum Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting compliance requirements. The role involves handling accounts in Tally Prime, preparing financial reports, and assisting management with financial insights. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with Tally, and the ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations using Tally Prime software.
- Record and maintain accurate entries of sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.
- Generate GST reports, TDS returns, and statutory compliance documents.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure proper stock management in Tally.
- Handle payroll processing and employee expense records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure timely data entry, accuracy, and confidentiality of financial records.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience working with Tally Prime software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in accounting for infrastructure or service-based companies.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, ERP systems, or other accounting tools.
- Exposure to audit processes and financial reporting standards.
