Job Title: Consultant Anaesthetist
Location: Iswarya Fertility & Women's Hospital, Sivakasi
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthesia services for obstetric, gynaecological, fertility (IVF), and other surgical procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and perioperative care. Candidates with experience in Maternity, Women's Healthcare, Fertility, or Multi-specialty Hospitals will be given preference.
Eligibility
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as an Anaesthetist.
- Experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Caesarean Sections, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Hysteroscopy, and Fertility-related procedures is preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients pre-operatively and determine the most appropriate anaesthesia plan.
- Administer general, regional, spinal, epidural, and local anaesthesia as required.
- Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and provide immediate intervention when necessary.
- Manage postoperative pain and monitor patients during recovery.
- Assist in emergency obstetric procedures, including emergency Caesarean Sections.
- Collaborate closely with Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, Fertility Specialists, Surgeons, OT staff, and Nursing teams.
- Ensure proper functioning of anaesthesia machines, monitors, and emergency equipment.
- Maintain accurate anaesthesia records and documentation.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, patient safety standards, and ethical medical practices.
- Participate in emergency response and resuscitation whenever required.
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Rotational duty schedule
- Candidates should be willing to provide on-call and emergency services, including night duties, as required.
Salary
- Salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance.
Preferred Candidate
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Consultant Anaesthetist.
- Previous experience in Fertility, IVF, Maternity, Women's Healthcare, or Multi-specialty Hospitals.
- Strong expertise in obstetric anaesthesia and perioperative patient management.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
