Role Overview
We are looking for a PHP Developer for our product development team to build a scalable and highly performing web platform. Primary focus will be the development of server-side modules, reusing the current platform capabilities and enhancing them to meet business requirements while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. In addition to core development, this role also covers a defined Domain scope — hands-on English content creation, validation, and filtration as guided by our language SME. Candidates will work under the direction of the technical lead.
Key Responsibilities — Development
- Develop and enhance the PHP modules part of a large web platform.
- Integration of UI elements with the core business modules and other third-party applications.
- Integration with data storage solutions.
- Solve complex business requirements and architectural challenges using PHP capabilities like caching, PHP objects, etc.
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.
Domain — English Content (Language Learning Platform)
- Hands-on English content creation, validation, and filtration as guided by our language SME.
- Build and maintain internal scripts/tools that call AI/LLM APIs to generate vocabulary-based content (clues, quiz questions, example sentences, definitions) at scale.
- Comfortable using AI/LLM tools for content generation and iterating on prompts to get usable output.
Must-Have Skills
- 4 to 6 years of working experience in PHP (experience in Moodle platform is an added advantage).
- Strong knowledge of PHP core capabilities and worked in any one of the PHP frameworks.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Understanding of the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP modules.
- Experience in object-oriented PHP programming and design patterns like MVC.
- Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases with the platform.
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
