Strong understanding of horticulture, plant materials, and sustainable landscape practices
Experience with landscape design software and other design tools, such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
Roles & Responsibilities-
Work with principal and senior landscape architects to develop landscape design concepts and landscape plans for projects of varying scales.
Conduct site visits and evaluate environmental conditions and gather data to inform design decisions.
Produce drawings, renderings and prepare presentations using CAD software and other designing tools.
Take part in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to understand their goals and provide design solutions.
Assist in plant selection and layout, considering factors such as environmental conditions, aesthetics, sustainability, and maintenance requirements.
Responsible for all project deliverables and details, preparation of construction documents, including site plans, planting plans, and technical specifications.
Manage the Landscape Architect Projects and staff to ensure quality of work is consistent quality standards, as well as meeting all applicable deadlines and budgets.
Oversee all active Landscape Architecture projects within the firm.
Review and approve project proposals.
Review and execute subconsultant contracts as needed.
Establish and retain a leading-edge knowledge of sustainable site concepts.
Organize and manage Studio’s day-to-day operations.
Identify ways to function at a higher level in areas including, but not limited to, client service, communication, design, and production.
Maintain and improve employee morale by meeting regularly with staff members and establishing an open line of communication.
Mentor staff as necessary to help them achieve their professional goals.
Identify potential candidates and participate in staff recruiting interviews.
Regularly review Studio billings for trends and compliance with annual revenue goals.
Keep current on industry trends and evaluate if implementation would benefit the company.
