Role description
1. Lead the conceptualization and basic engineering phases for plant electrical and power systems.
2. Oversee detailed engineering and procurement engineering activities for all electrical infrastructure.
3. Manage interfaces between electrical systems and other plant disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
4. Develop and review detailed construction deliverables for electrical installations, ensuring compliance with specifications.
5. Engage with and manage relationships with vendors and technology suppliers for electrical equipment and solutions.
6. Conduct estimation of macro Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and project costs pertaining to electrical and power systems.
7. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and quality management protocols throughout the electrical design and engineering lifecycle.
8. Monitor and control the progress of design and engineering activities for plant electrical and power systems, from concept to commissioning.
9. Coordinate effectively with internal departments, technology suppliers, and equipment vendors on all electrical design and engineering matters.
10. Participate actively in value engineering initiatives and 3D model reviews to optimize electrical system design and integration.
Skills
Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
Strong understanding of power distribution, motor control centers, switchgear, and protective relaying.
Experience with project management principles and practices.
Knowledge of relevant national and international electrical codes and standards.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Other details
Minimum Qualification : Engineering ( BE / B.tech.) Equivalent in any discipline or B.Arch and AICTE or UGC approved.
