Role Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Garments Merchandiser to manage buyer communication, sampling, production coordination, quality follow-up, and shipment execution for export orders. The role is responsible for ensuring timely order execution from development to dispatch while maintaining buyer satisfaction, quality compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Buyer Communication & Order Management
- Act as the primary contact between international buyers and internal departments.
- Receive tech packs, understand buyer specifications, and clarify requirements.
- Communicate order confirmations, approvals, changes, and delivery schedules.
Sampling & Product Development
- Coordinate proto, fit, size set, pre-production, and sales samples.
- Track sample timelines, approvals, and modifications.
- Ensure samples meet buyer quality and design expectations.
Costing & Price Negotiation
- Work with sourcing teams to finalise fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Ensure margin targets are met.
Production Follow-up
- Coordinate with production planning for line loading and production scheduling.
- Track daily production progress and ensure on-time completion.
- Resolve production issues and minimise delays.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and AQL requirements.
- Coordinate the inline and final inspections.
- Reduce rejections, rework, and buyer complaints.
Shipment & Documentation
- Coordinate packing, labelling, and shipment planning.
- Ensure all export documents (invoice, packing list, BL, COO, etc.) are accurate.
- Follow up with logistics and CHA teams.
Reporting & MIS
- Maintain order trackers, T&A calendars, costing files, and buyer MIS reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly merchandising reports for management.
Required Skills & Competencies

Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Garment Technology / Textile / Fashion Merchandising
- 1–4 years of experience in export garment merchandising
