The Semiconductor Procurement Strategy Team Member will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive semiconductor procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and technological needs, particularly for passive components. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to foster relationships with key suppliers to secure the best quality and value for semiconductor components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a semiconductor procurement strategy that supports the company’s product development and manufacturing goals.
- Identify and engage with key semiconductor suppliers, fostering strong, long-term partnerships.
- Conduct market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and technology advancements.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to understand and anticipate semiconductor needs.
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects without compromising quality.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to semiconductor procurement.
- Stay informed about geopolitical and economic factors that could impact semiconductor supply chains.
