About CEQUE We are a non-profit company registered under Section 8 in 2012. Our mission is to enable teachers to transform their classrooms so that every child receives quality learning. Our programs are focused on building capacities through coaching teachers, mentoring leaders and creating assets. Teacher Innovator Program - our flagship initiative - upskills teachers in government schools across rural districts in innovative teaching methods. We have a team of around 86 persons out of which 65 are the program team consisting of coaches and the district managers. Our teams of coaches go to the schools, work closely with teachers and coach them on techniques to improve their teaching practice. The program works in partnership with district education departments with a focus on Reading-Writing and Math skills in children studying in grades 1-5. A motivated and dependable professional who is eager to build a career in NGO accounts and can effectively coordinate processes across multiple locations within a growing social sector organization.
Key Responsibilities –
I - Financial Accounting
Review expenses, ensuring adherence to financial policies and budgets.
Facilitate bank payments and manage the reimbursement process for bills submitted by staff members and payroll processing & entries in Tally.
Utilise financial software, including Tally, to maintain financial records accurately in hard and soft.
II - Maintain Donor related documents & assist in Proposals -
Compliance and Reporting Handle regulatory compliance-related financial tasks, including PF, ESIC, PT, and TDS calculations, payments, and follow-ups. Assist with donor audits, reviews preparations.
Collaborate with CA and CS professionals for any audits or reporting requirements. Provide support for Preparation of Fund Utilization Reports as per donor requirements. Provide support for completing FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) requirements.
III - Operation Support
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and funding partners to ensure seamless financial transactions.
Visit banks, vendors, senior leadership team and partners as required to ensure effective coordination of financial tasks and activities.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in commerce (BCom)
Basic knowledge of NGO compliance, FCRA regulations
Experience Required 3-5 years of relevant experience in compliance, administration, NGO operations, or accounts/compliance coordination.
Required Skills Good documentation and reporting abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.
Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Good organizational and follow-up skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage timelines.
Willingness to travel when required.
Remuneration Monthly CTC will range between INR 30,000 - 40,000 depending on experience and qualifications
