Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, articulate, and dedicated Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) for English to teach Middle School students (Classes 6 to 8). The ideal candidate should have exceptional command over the English language, strong pedagogical skills aligned with the NCERT/CBSE curriculum, and the ability to spark a genuine love for reading, literature, and communication among middle school learners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Classroom Delivery
- Teach English Language and Literature to Classes 6, 7, and 8 in accordance with the CBSE curriculum guidelines.
- Design engaging, interactive lesson plans that focus on core skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking (LSRW).
- Integrate activity-based learning, digital tools/smart classroom technologies, and experiential learning methods to make grammar and literature engaging.
- Instill strong grammar foundation, vocabulary expansion, creative writing skills, and reading comprehension techniques.
2. Assessment & Student Evaluation
- Design periodic tests, assignments, worksheets, and term examinations following CBSE patterns.
- Conduct continuous and comprehensive assessments to track individual student progress. Provide timely, constructive feedback on student writing and oral activities.
- Identify students needing remedial assistance and create targeted intervention plans.
3. Classroom Management & Student Mentorship
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Act as a mentor and class teacher (if assigned), supporting students' personal, moral, and social development.
- Encourage creative expression through debates, elocutions, drama, creative writing, and literary events.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: B.A. in English / English Literature from a recognized university (Mandatory).
- Professional Qualification: B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from an NCTE-recognized institution with English as a teaching methodology (Mandatory).
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience teaching English to middle school classes (Grade 6–8) in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school.
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
