Title : L2 Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities
You would perform a key role in this team as a Network Engineer, to make sure Banks regional Network is stable and reliable.
The candidate should be able to handle incidents independently and have problem solving mind set.
The candidate would be escalation point for regional network monitoring team.
In this role you need to manage Network alerts and tickets creation.
In this role, you will be heavily involved in Incident resolutions and Change implementation.
Able to work independently and in collaboration with various stakeholders as part of an APAC team.
In this role you will be diligently working with external vendors (ISPs and Principal vendors e.g.: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo alto etc.) when needed.
The candidate will be implementing BAU changes and Vulnerability fixes.
The candidate will also be performing asset management and lifecycle management.
Must have a curious mindset and are interested in learning and adapting with the everchanging technologies and requirements in the financial industry.
Able to support DR drills from network operations side.
Preparing RCA and improvement plans related to major incidents.
The candidate will be involved in device patching and upgrading whenever required.
Work with respective countries team members in cases required local support to resolve incidents and perform changes.
Prepare and present technical documentation. Ensure that the technical settings comply with company policy and regulatory requirements and work with stakeholders to align infrastructure direction.
Key Qualifications
Min. 4 years of working experience in network security operations, implementation and managing large network security platforms.
Min. 4 years of working experience in Network Implementation (routers, switches, SD-wan, Firewall and LB).
Experience of ITSM processes (Incident, change and Problem management).
Open to work in 24*7 rotational shift and rotational On-call model if required.
Understanding of SLAs, RTO and RPO for critical environments. And able to follow banks guidelines.
Experience in network monitoring tools E.g.: SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios etc.
Experience in ITSM tool (Service Now).
Industrial professional certification such as CCNP, PCNSE and NSE-7 is preferred.
In-depth troubleshooting experience in large enterprises and data centers.
Able to work with ISPs and Principal vendors for major incidents and changes.
In-depth technical experience and proficiency in deploying network system(s) implementation for large enterprise, data center environments.
Hands-on experience in implementation and setup of high-availability, multi-layer datacenter networks.
Strong knowledge of Vulnerability removal and patching.
I must have strong knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN operations and implementation experience.
Must have sound knowledge and implementation experience of Cisco Router and Switches (ASR, ISR, Nexus, Catalyst).
In-depth hands-on experience of advanced IP routing and switching technologies,
particularly BGP, OSPF, PBR, QOS, ECMP, VRRP, HSRP and VPC.
Proficient with Cisco Systems, Palo Alto, F5, Checkpoint, Fortinet or equivalent.
Must understand SASE solutions (Zscaler).
Experience in Network Automation will be an added advantage.
Understanding of regulatory requirements from regulators such as MAS, RBI etc.
Prior working experience as an IT professional in banking or financial institution is an
advantage.
