Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Mechanical Design Department to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Design and develop pharmaceutical packaging machinery and special purpose machines (SPM).
- Prepare complete machine assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Develop innovative machine concepts based on customer requirements and industry standards.
- Review customer URS, technical specifications, and project requirements before design execution.
- Coordinate with Production, Automation, Purchase, Quality, Service, and Marketing departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure designs comply with GMP, cGMP, safety standards, and customer specifications.
- Optimize existing machine designs to improve productivity, reliability, cost, and ease of manufacturing.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and technical feasibility studies.
- Support machine trials, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and customer acceptance activities.
- Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
- Guide, mentor, and train Design Engineers and Junior Design Engineers.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure design deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
- Standardize machine components and maintain design documentation and revision control.
- Participate in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Master's degree or additional certifications in Design Engineering will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging machinery manufacturing.
- Proven experience in handling a design team and managing multiple machine development projects.
- Strong knowledge of injectable and non-pharma packaging machinery.
- Experience in customer-specific machine customization and new product development.
- Familiarity with GMP/cGMP requirements and manufacturing best practices.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of department performance.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
