We are seeking a talented UI/UX Developer who bridges the gap between design and engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming high-fidelity design mockups and wireframes into fully functional, pixel-perfect, and highly interactive front-end code. You are deeply empathetic to user needs, obsessive about visual detail, and equally passionate about writing clean, performant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You don't just build what you're told—you proactively refine the user experience during development to ensure the end product is both beautiful and bulletproof.
Key Responsibilities
Front-End Development & Implementation
- Translate UI/UX design wireframes and Figma prototypes into responsive, cross-browser compatible, and accessible web pages and applications.
- Write semantic, clean, and well-documented HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+) code.
- Develop reusable UI components and maintain a consistent design system or component library (e.g., Storybook) for scaling across projects.
- Optimize web pages for maximum speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance (lazy loading, code splitting, image optimization, etc.).
- Ensure all code meets accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) to guarantee an inclusive user experience.
User Experience & Interaction Design
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Researchers to translate user flows, journey maps, and wireframes into interactive, high-fidelity prototypes.
- Build smooth, intuitive micro-interactions, animations, and transitions that enhance the user experience without sacrificing performance.
- Conduct rapid prototyping and A/B testing of UI variations to validate design decisions and improve conversion rates.
- Proactively identify UX friction points during the development process and suggest iterative improvements to stakeholders.
Design & Visual Execution
- Maintain and evolve the company’s design system, ensuring brand consistency across typography, color palettes, spacing, and iconography.
- Create or modify UI assets (icons, illustrations, graphics) using design tools when needed, bridging visual design and code.
- Ensure pixel-perfect implementation across all major browsers, devices, and screen sizes (mobile-first approach).
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Act as the crucial liaison between the Design and Engineering teams, translating design intent into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Participate in design critiques, providing development feasibility insights early in the design phase to prevent costly rework later.
- Work closely with Back-End Developers to integrate APIs and dynamic data into polished front-end interfaces.
- Collaborate with SEO and Marketing teams to ensure UI implementations support organic search visibility (semantic HTML, structured data, page speed).
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Experience: 3–6 years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong emphasis on UI/UX implementation. A portfolio showcasing both your design sensibility and your code is essential.
- Front-End Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid, animations), and JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with modern frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, or Angular is highly preferred.
- Responsive Design: Deep understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles, media queries, and fluid layouts.
- Design Tool Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD (you must be able to inspect designs, extract assets, and understand design systems).
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
- Performance Optimization: Strong understanding of web performance metrics, Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse auditing, and optimization techniques.
- Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Experience debugging and ensuring consistent functionality across all major browsers and devices.
Preferred (Great to Haves)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Design System Experience: Experience building or maintaining component libraries and design systems (e.g., Storybook, Chakra UI, Material-UI).
- Animation: Skills in CSS animations, JavaScript animation libraries (GSAP, Framer Motion), or Lottie for micro-interactions.
- SEO/Technical Knowledge: Understanding of semantic HTML, JSON-LD structured data, and how front-end choices impact search engine crawling and indexing.
- Build Tools: Familiarity with build tools and bundlers like Webpack, Vite, or Parcel.
- CMS Experience: Experience developing custom themes/templates for CMS platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify.
- Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, or end-to-end testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
