Job Summary
An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, maintaining accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. The role involves handling daily accounting tasks, monitoring financial transactions, and supporting the organization’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record day-to-day financial activities in accounting software.
- Bookkeeping
- Maintain ledgers and journals.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Monitor cash flow and petty cash.
- Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers.
- Track payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Tax & Compliance
- Prepare GST returns and ensure timely tax filings.
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations.
- Assist in audits and financial inspections.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Analyze financial data and report discrepancies.
