Position: VMC Operator
Location: Coimbatore – Pollachi Road (Serrapalayam)
Experience: 2–4 Years (Preferred)
Qualification: Diploma / BE (Mechanical Engineering)
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month + OT Extra
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced VMC Operator to operate and manage Vertical Machining Centre machines for precision component manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, programming adjustments, and ensuring production quality as per customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate VMC machines and perform machining operations as per production requirements.
- Set up machines, select tools, and perform tool offset adjustments.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and process sheets.
- Perform 2D CNC programming and make necessary program modifications.
- Produce components as per drawing specifications and quality standards.
- Perform in-process inspection using measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and machining-related issues.
- Maintain production records and follow safety procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of machines and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a VMC Operator or similar role.
- Good knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience in 2D programming and editing CNC programs.
- Knowledge of CNC controls such as Siemens, Haas, Mitsubishi, and Fanuc.
- Good understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
Experience:
- Candidates with relevant VMC machining experience are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and achieve production targets.
