Overview of The Role
As an Engineer - Functional Testing, you will be involved in developing and executing test plans and test cases, identifying and documenting defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues, and contributing to the overall quality of the software.You will be expected to leverage best practice, standards and processes set out by AVIZVA.
Job Responsibilities

Review and analyse system specifications to understand the software requirements.

Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on requirements.

Document and manage defects by logging, updating status of defects, follow up on defects (getting fixes and re-test) and successful closure of defects.

Execute test cases and analyse results to identify defects.

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and follows the best practices.
Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in functional testing.

Hands-on experience in manual API testing using Rest Assured, SOAP, Postman, or similar frameworks.

Proficient in performing database, GUI, regression, system, and smoke testing.

Should have experience in testing web-based and mobile-based applications.

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Experience in automation and performance testing would be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence (or similar tracking tool ) and STLC.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
