Job Summary:
Responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and preventive healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and assess patients and obtain medical histories.
- Diagnose illnesses and medical conditions.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as clinically indicated.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other investigations.
- Monitor patients’ progress and modify treatment when necessary.
- Provide preventive healthcare, counseling, and patient education.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
- Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Refer patients to specialists when required.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
- Follow applicable clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement, audits, and continuing medical education.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MBBS/MD ).
- Valid medical registration/license to practice.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification or specialization, where required.
- Good clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
