Job Description (JD)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced PPC (Production Planning & Control) professional with strong exposure in steel processing industries, specifically in slitting, cut-to-length (CTL), sheet grinding/polishing, and lamination/protection processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage daily / weekly / monthly production plans
- Handle end-to-end planning for:
- Steel slitting lines
- Cut-to-length operations
- Sheet grinding / polishing
- Lamination / protection processes
- Ensure optimum machine utilization and productivity
- Coordinate with customers for order planning, priorities, and delivery commitments
- Monitor dispatch schedules and ensure on-time delivery
- Manage WIP, RM availability, and finished goods flow
- Work closely with:
- Production
- Quality
- Stores & Dispatch
- Maintain:
- BOM
- Production reports
- Material tracking & traceability
- Identify bottlenecks and ensure smooth production flow
Key Skills Required
- Strong production planning & scheduling capability (core strength)
- Excellent customer coordination and communication skills
- Hands-on experience in steel processing operations
- Good knowledge of ERP systems & Excel
- Ability to handle dispatch planning and execution
Qualification & Experience
- Required Qualification: B.E / Diploma (Mechanical / Production / Industrial)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in PPC (steel / metal industry preferred)
