Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the complete software development lifecycle—from requirement gathering and planning to development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing SaaS, ERP, CRM, or enterprise software projects and must possess a strong technical understanding of full-stack development.
This is a highly execution-oriented role. The candidate will be expected to actively manage the development team, remove blockers, maintain delivery timelines, understand customer requirements, and ensure that committed work gets delivered.
Key Responsibilities1. Project & Delivery Management
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for Lazim.
- Prepare and maintain project roadmaps, milestones, sprint plans, and delivery schedules.
- Break business requirements into actionable development tasks.
- Define priorities based on business impact, urgency, dependencies, and customer requirements.
- Track project progress, identify delays, and take corrective action.
- Ensure sprint commitments are delivered on time.
- Maintain project documentation, requirements, decisions, and change requests.
- Manage scope, dependencies, risks, and delivery constraints.
- Coordinate releases, deployments, and production rollouts.
2. Daily Scrum & Team Coordination
- Conduct and manage daily Scrum meetings.
- Review what was completed, what is in progress, and what is blocked.
- Coordinate developers, UI/UX designers, QA, DevOps, and other technical resources.
- Monitor individual and team performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and ensure blockers are resolved quickly.
- Follow up on assigned tasks until completion.
- Ensure developers understand the expected outcome before starting development.
- Challenge delays, incomplete work, and quality issues when required.
- Motivate the team and maintain a strong delivery culture.
3. Technical Project Management
- Possess a strong understanding of full-stack web application development.
- Understand frontend, backend, APIs, databases, authentication, integrations, hosting, and deployment.
- Review technical approaches proposed by developers.
- Understand software architecture and system dependencies sufficiently to manage technical discussions.
- Work closely with developers to identify technical risks and dependencies.
- Understand Git-based development workflows, branching, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
- Understand API integrations and third-party services.
- Coordinate database changes, migrations, integrations, and production releases.
- Ensure development follows agreed coding, security, performance, and documentation standards.
PHP Laravel knowledge will be considered an advantage.
4. Product & Requirement Management
- Act as the bridge between business requirements and the development team.
- Convert customer requirements into clear functional requirements.
- Prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process documentation.
- Identify gaps, conflicts, dependencies, and edge cases in requirements.
- Work with UI/UX teams to ensure business requirements are translated into intuitive user experiences.
- Review designs before development begins.
- Ensure developers understand the complete business process rather than simply implementing isolated features.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Manage change requests and assess their impact on scope, timeline, and resources.
5. Client & Voice of Customer
- Act as a primary technology/project coordination point for customers.
- Conduct requirement discussions and understand the customer's actual business problem.
- Capture and document the Voice of Customer (VoC).
- Distinguish between a customer's requested solution and the actual problem that needs to be solved.
- Convert customer feedback into practical product requirements.
- Explain technical limitations and possible solutions to customers in simple business language.
- Coordinate UAT with customers.
- Manage customer feedback, issues, enhancements, and change requests.
- Ensure customer commitments are properly communicated to the development team.
6. QA & Release Management
- Coordinate closely with QA/testing teams.
- Ensure every feature has clearly defined acceptance criteria.
- Review test results and unresolved defects.
- Track bugs based on severity and business impact.
- Ensure critical issues are resolved before production release.
- Coordinate UAT and obtain release approval.
- Maintain release notes and deployment documentation.
- Monitor post-release issues and coordinate quick resolution.
7. Product Quality & Performance
- Monitor platform stability, usability, performance, and reliability.
- Identify recurring operational and technical issues.
- Push the team toward root-cause resolution rather than temporary fixes.
- Review customer complaints and identify product-level improvements.
- Monitor technical debt and ensure critical technical issues are addressed.
- Ensure new features do not negatively impact existing modules.
- Maintain focus on scalability and long-term product maintainability.
8. Reporting & Management
Prepare and present:
- Daily development status
- Sprint progress
- Weekly project reports
- Monthly project performance
- Delivery vs. planned timeline
- Pending tasks
- Blockers and risks
- Bug status
- Feature completion
- Resource utilization
- Release status
- Customer feedback
- Product improvement recommendations
Required Skills & ExperienceMandatory
- 2–3 years of software project management experience
- Experience managing SaaS / ERP / CRM / Enterprise Software
- Strong understanding of full-stack development
- Experience working directly with software development teams
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Experience managing product backlogs and sprints
- Strong understanding of APIs, databases, web applications, and software architecture
- Experience in requirement gathering and documentation
- Experience managing UAT, QA, releases, and deployments
- Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ownership and follow-up capabilities

Travel & Relocation
The position is primarily remote. However, the candidate must be:
- Willing to travel onsite for client meetings, implementation, UAT, training, or project requirements.
- Willing to relocate temporarily or permanently to the project/client location if business requirements demand.
