About this Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced System Architect – rApps to drive the end-to-end architecture of multiple rApps within the CNS portfolio. You will be responsible for defining scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-native solutions while ensuring alignment with CSE architecture principles and rApps portfolio standards.
As a key technical leader, you will collaborate with Product, System Owners, S&T, NDO experts, SRE, and DevOps teams, providing architectural direction, managing technical risks, and driving long-term platform evolution.
What You Will Do
Architecture Ownership & Design
- Own and evolve the architecture of assigned rApps, including data flows, interfaces, deployment models, and integrations.
- Lead technical studies, opportunity assessments, and architecture decisions across the entire product lifecycle.
- Define and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and design guidelines aligned with SAN rApps architecture.
- Ensure effective integration with EIC/EIAP platform capabilities, including APIs, security, observability, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Define and drive non-functional requirements such as scalability, reliability, performance, security, privacy, and maintainability.
- Support High-Level and Low-Level Design activities and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and technical debt while driving mitigation plans.
- Translate RAN automation use cases into scalable and production-ready software architectures.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor and guide DevOps teams on architecture strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Lead technical studies, evaluate design trade-offs, and support architectural decision-making.
- Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with SRE teams to address complex technical issues and improve operational excellence.
- Represent development teams in architecture forums and governance boards.
What You Will Bring
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. “All academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are further subject to verification.”
Experience
- 13+ years of experience in software or system development, including significant experience in cloud-native and distributed system architecture.
- Experience in Telecom, RAN, O-RAN, SMO, network automation, or related domains.
- Proven success in Agile DevOps environments, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
- Experience driving architecture governance, technical debt management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, containers, microservices, service mesh, and API management.
- Hands-on experience with Python and React development.
- Understanding of RAN automation, Non-RT RIC concepts, and rApps ecosystems.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, observable, and secure systems.
- Strong knowledge of security and privacy-by-design principles.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven applications and data-centric architectures is an advantage.
