Position: Design Engineer (EMC)

Location: Kolhapur

Experience: Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in design

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer (EMC) who will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and improving product designs. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to convert engineering and project requirements into effective design solutions using CAD / SolidWorks and CAE tools. The role requires strong analytical thinking, creativity, and collaboration to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Design & Development

Capture and define design requirements based on engineering and project inputs.
Analyze project requirements and integrate them into formal design solutions.
Develop design concepts and translate them into technical plans and prototypes using CAD / SolidWorks and CAE software.
Evaluate design proposals and technical data to identify issues during product development.
Develop and implement solutions to ensure feasible and high-quality design outcomes.
Carry out simulations for new and prototype products using in-house software.
Provide technical support and feedback to customers regarding design simulations.

Design Analysis & Improvements

Analyze multiple design-related issues to determine root causes.
Modify and improve designs based on analysis results and testing outcomes.
Implement design changes until the design meets required specifications.
Make necessary design changes to existing products as required.
Track and document design modifications effectively.

Documentation & Control

Maintain and control Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD models, and engineering drawings.
Participate in design reviews and present design ideas and solutions.
Prepare cost proposals related to design development.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and external service providers.
Support continuous improvement and process improvement initiatives.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks), technical drawings, and 3D modelling.
Good understanding of engineering and design principles.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods.
Ability to perform simulations and prototype design evaluations.
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office tools.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Creative and logical approach for generating new design ideas and solutions.
