Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Maintenance: Assemble, test, and troubleshoot dialysis machines, and sanitize equipment after each use to ensure safety standards.
- Patient Care & Monitoring: Prepare patients for dialysis, insert needles, monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) every 30-60 minutes, and respond to machine alarms.
- Treatment Administration: Mix dialysate solutions, initiate dialysis, monitor blood flow, and administer medications like heparin to prevent clotting.
- Documentation & Safety: Maintain detailed patient records, including treatment, medication, and, if necessary, waste disposal protocols.
- Patient Education: Explain procedures, answer questions, and provide support to patients and families.
