An IGCSE Pre-Primary Coordinator oversees the academic, operational, and developmental aspects of the pre-primary section (typically Nursery, KG1, KG2, Reception, or Early Years) in an international school following or aligned with the Cambridge Assessment International Education framework or a similar international curriculum.
The coordinator ensures high-quality early childhood education, supports teachers, maintains curriculum standards, manages parent communication, and creates a safe, engaging learning environment for young learners.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership
- Plan, implement, and monitor the pre-primary curriculum.
- Ensure curriculum alignment with international standards and school objectives.
- Guide teachers in lesson planning, assessment methods, and classroom practices.
- Introduce age-appropriate teaching methodologies and play-based learning.
- Monitor student progress and learning outcomes.
2. Curriculum Development
- Design yearly, term-wise, and weekly academic plans.
- Develop integrated learning themes and activities.
- Ensure proper balance between:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Motor skills
- Social-emotional learning
- Creative development
- Review and upgrade teaching resources regularly.
3. Teacher Supervision & Mentoring
- Observe classroom teaching and provide feedback.
- Conduct teacher training workshops and orientation sessions.
- Support new teachers in classroom management and curriculum understanding.
- Ensure teachers maintain proper records and documentation.
- Encourage professional development.
4. Student Development & Welfare
- Monitor students’ emotional, physical, social, and academic growth.
- Identify learning difficulties or behavioral concerns early.
- Coordinate with counselors or special educators when required.
- Promote child safety and safeguarding practices.
- Maintain a nurturing and inclusive environment.
5. Parent Communication
- Conduct parent orientation sessions and PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings).
- Address parent concerns professionally.
- Share student progress reports and developmental feedback.
- Build strong parent-school relationships.
6. Administration & Operations
- Prepare academic calendars and event schedules.
- Coordinate classroom resources, displays, and learning materials.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and international standards.
- Assist in admissions interaction and student assessments.
- Maintain documentation, reports, and academic records.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹140,000.00 per month
