Job Title: Design Draftsman (SolidWorks)Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Design Draftsman with expertise in SolidWorks to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings, preparing models, and supporting product development from concept to production. This role requires precision, creativity, and strong technical knowledge of mechanical design.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed assembly drawings, part drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate concepts into accurate designs.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on feedback and design changes.
- Maintain organized documentation of drawings and design files.
- Support prototyping and manufacturing teams with accurate design data.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Draftsman/Design Engineer with SolidWorks proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches and specifications.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with sheet metal, fabrication, or product design.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with other CAD tools is an added advantage.
