An Ads Manager is a digital marketing professional responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and Amazon. They oversee advertising budgets, conduct audience targeting, and analyze campaign performance to maximize ROI and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design and launch full-funnel ad campaigns across paid search, paid social, and display networks.
- Budget Management: Allocate and manage advertising budgets effectively across multiple channels and target audiences to stay within fiscal constraints.
- A/B Testing & Optimization: Continuously test ad creatives, copy, bids, and landing pages to improve conversion rates and lower Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Track KPIs (e.g., ROI, ROAS, CPC, CTR) using analytics tools and prepare actionable performance reports for stakeholders.
- Audience Targeting: Develop and build precise audience profiles (custom and lookalike audiences) to ensure ads reach the right demographic.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, content, and sales teams to ensure ad assets align with overall brand messaging and business objectives.
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience with major ad networks, particularly Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and potentially Amazon Ads or LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Analytical Skills: High proficiency in Google Analytics, data interpretation, and CRM tools.
- Copywriting & Creative Judgment: Ability to write engaging ad copy and provide strategic direction for visual and video assets.
- Certifications: Official platform certifications (e.g., Google Ads Certification, Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate) are highly valued.
