About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and creative Social Media Marketing Intern who already has practical skills and interest in content growth, social media execution, and digital marketing. This role is for someone who understands how social platforms work, can contribute ideas, and execute content strategies with minimal hand-holding.
Candidates with prior internship, freelance work, personal brand growth, college projects, or hands-on experience will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing social media marketing campaigns across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms
- Create and schedule content calendars aligned with brand objectives
- Research trends, competitors, and audience behavior to generate content ideas
- Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors for content production
- Write captions, hooks, content briefs, and posting copies
- Support organic growth initiatives and engagement activities
- Monitor social media performance and prepare weekly reports
- Track KPIs such as reach, engagement, retention, profile visits, and content performance
- Identify opportunities for content improvement and audience growth
- Assist in campaign execution, influencer collaborations, and brand-building activities
- Maintain consistency in brand communication across platforms
Required Skills & Expertise
- Basic understanding of social media marketing and content strategy
- Knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and short-form content ecosystems
- Understanding of audience psychology, engagement drivers, and content hooks
- Familiarity with content planning and trend research
- Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar tools
- Ability to interpret simple analytics and improve content decisions
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of content formats, posting schedules, and organic growth practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, freelance work, or personal project experience in social media
- Portfolio, sample work, content page, or campaign examples preferred
- Experience with content creation or basic video editing is a plus
- Knowledge of AI tools for content ideation and productivity
